On Air: go live, or pull up a chair

Real men, live from their phones. How to tap in, how to go live, and how to book a night so the room is full the second you start

The Real Kink Men team · Nov 4

Somewhere right now a man is in his garage polishing boots, or on his couch with a cigar, or at the bar before the night gets going. On Air is where he lets you in. He goes live, you watch, you talk to him in chat, and if he wants company, he brings you up on stage with him.

It's free, it works on the website and in the app, and you don't need anything but your phone.

Tap in

Open On Air from the menu. Whoever's live is at the top, big, with how many men are already watching. Tap in and you're there. Sound starts muted until you tap.

Say something in chat. Tap to send a heart, hold for more reactions. Hearts are free, and the man on camera sees every one float up his screen. That's half the fun of going live, so don't be shy with them.

If there's room on stage, tap Request to join. Up to 4 men can be on stage at once, host included. If he accepts, your camera starts and you're on with him. If he doesn't, nothing happens and nobody sees a thing.

When nobody's on

On Air doesn't go quiet when nobody's live. It shows who's up next and when, with a countdown on the day. Below that, Was on this week shows the men who went live recently, one card each, and Hosts lists everyone who goes live.

Tap Remind me on a booked show, or the bell on a host, and we'll tell you the second he starts. One tap, and you're never the man who shows up for the last five minutes.

Go live

Tap Go live. Your camera starts first, so you can check the light before anyone sees you. Test your mic, add a title if you want one, and choose who can watch:

  • Members: signed-in members only.
  • Anyone: people without an account can watch too, but they can't chat.

Turn on Notify followers and they hear you're on. Then tap Go live, count down from three, and you're on air.

Your stream always lives at realkink.men/l/ plus your username. Put it in your bio on X or Instagram. When you're live it opens your stream. When you're not, it shows your profile, your last show, and a way to get told next time.

Your first time? Your first show goes to the front of the stories row at the top of Home for its first 15 minutes, so the men scrolling past see you before anyone else. First time is the hardest. We'd rather it was the loudest too.

Book a night

Going live with nobody watching is no fun. Booking a show fixes that.

Tap Schedule a show, give it a title, pick the day and time, and choose whether to tell your followers now. They hear about it when you book it and again when you start. Everyone else sees it under Up next on On Air and on your profile, and taps Remind me. By the time you go live, the room is waiting for you.

A few things worth knowing:

  • You can book a show from ten minutes to 30 days ahead, and have up to five on the calendar at once.
  • Go live any time from an hour before your start time to half an hour after, and it counts as that show. Everyone who tapped Remind me gets the ping.
  • Plans change. Cancel a show from Up next and it's gone.

Scheduling is for Silver members and up. Going live, watching and reminders are free for everyone.

Your room, your rules

You're in charge of your stream. Make someone a moderator for tonight or for every show. Turn on Slow mode if chat gets busy, or Followers only if you want it to be just your men. Time someone out, remove him, or ban him from your streams. And if you need a minute, set your status to Be right back and your camera and mic pause until you're back.

The same community guidelines apply on camera as everywhere else. What happens on a stream stays on that stream. Recording someone and posting it elsewhere counts as exposing him, and it's one of the fastest ways to lose an account here.

Where to start

If you've never watched, open On Air tonight and tap whoever's on. Say hi. Send a heart.

If you've thought about going live and talked yourself out of it, book a show for the weekend instead. Give it a title, tell your followers, and let them get excited for you. The full how-to is in Going live on On Air.
